How to earn your CISR Designation

The Certified Insurance Service Representatives (CISR) Program consists of 9 core courses that allow participants to select from a variety of topics, based on their personal preference, to earn the CISR designation. These options give participants the opportunity to choose courses to specialize in a certain area or mix and match courses to diversify their learning. To earn the CISR designation, you must complete five of the nine courses and pass the exams within a three year period.

The CISR courses are reasonably priced and offered throughout Louisiana. Pre-registration is recommended for all classes and space is limited. Click Here To Register

Registration: 7:30 a.m.
Seminar: 8:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Q&A & Review: 3:30 - 4:00 p.m.
Exam: 4:00 - 5:00 p.m. (required only for individuals earning the CISR designation)

Maintaining the Designation/Earning the Elite Distinction

After you earn the CISR designation, an update is required each year to keep your education current and to maintain your CISR designation. If you choose to update by attending one of the remaining four CISR courses (see note above) you will be on your way to achieving theCISR Elitedistinction. Once you’ve completed and passed all nine CISR courses (the first five courses within three years and the remaining four courses within an additional three years), you will earn the highest recognition for those in customer service anywhere. With this new status, CISR Elites will receive a new pin, a special diploma, and recognition at aconferment ceremony.

Additional National Alliance Offerings

Also available are the William T. Hold Seminars and Dynamics of Service Seminars, which are now available to ALL insurance professionals.

William T Hold Seminars* provide innovative answers to real-life situations. The one-day seminar topics include: Cyber Liability, Additional Insureds, Workers Compensation, and Homeowners Q & A, just to name a few. Each class is approved for CE credits determined by the topic and will stand as your CISR Designation annual update.

WTH classes are only approved for Louisiana CE credit.

Dynamics of Service* is a one-day, insurance specific program that will immediately improve the customer service in any agency, company or insurance-related organization. Each DOS class is approved for 7 hours of CE credit and will stand as your CISR and CSRM annual update. Participants who attend will:

  • Dramatically improve their people skills
  • Tune up their professional competence
  • Acquire a wealth of tools and techniques for dealing with customers effectively

*Please note that WTH and DOS classes do NOT count toward earning your designation.
