It had many volunteers who were a big part in making it such a great success. She thanked the two coordinators Bianca Woodberry and Brenna DuBois.

Brenna DuBois shared Jog-a-Thon details. We raised $52,000 for our school that is more than we made last year on our fundraiser. We also had corporate sponsorship that equaled $8,750.00. She was very pleased with how well it ran and all of the support that it received from both JWE staff and volunteers. She then gave the treasurer’s report. The ending balance in September is $56,552.71. The balance does not reflect the Jog-a-Thon.

What a great message to send district wide. She also let us know 3rd through 5th grade writing tests have to be reread. She went over some of testing details and answered questions. She answered the question of our rapidly growing school and said they are very aware and looking at long range plans. She also encouraged everyone to go vote.

Suzanne Lair was very pleased with the Jog-a-Thon and how excited the students were when they received their dots for their laps. She is very excited about it helping to promote a healthy lifestyle. She mentioned that Stacey Butterfield is a celebrity runner in the Tulsa Run. They will be taking a group of 10 staff members, JWE students, and parents to participate in the Tulsa Run. They will be wearing their Jog-a-Thon t-shirts. She stated those who have not signed up can still join the JWE group. Jenks joggers started on Tuesday after school for 3rd and 4th grade and is led by Shelly Egli. Parents are encouraged to walk/run with them. They will soon be expanding it to grades K-2. Questions over testing were answered.
