Please look out for our Christmas services as we have several family services during advent.
The late John Phillips Pen y Waen
Mr John Phillips – Pen y Waen. John Phillips came to live in the Waen over 60 years ago along with his parents and sister and remained farming Pen y Waen until three years ago farming a traditional welsh small holding in the traditional way. Mr Phillips was a faithful member of the Waen Chapel and enjoyed singing and being part of the fellowship. Three years ago due to ill health he moved to live at Dolwen Denbigh and was treated with kindness and compassion by all the staff. We extend our sincere sympathy to his sister Miss Corriswen Phillips and also his dear friend Mrs Annie Alice Hughes who also lives at Dolwen
Mant Congratulations
Margaret and Lloyd Williams Plas Wern celebrated their Golden Wedding recently. They were married on Tuesday Morning October 4th 1960 at Waen Congregational chapel by the late Rev John Morris Jones who was minister of the Chapel at that time. Both have given a lifetime of service to the Chapel - Margaret Williams has played the organ in the Chapel for over 60 years and has been Chapel Secretary for 43 years. Lloyd Williams has kept a watchful eye on the buildings and spent hundreds if not thousands of hours over the years repairing and tidying the Chapel and Chapel House and Chapel Grounds.
