The Safe Use of Aluminium Phosphide for Vertebrate Pest Control
Our Safe Use of Aluminium Phosphide for Vertebrate Pest Control comprehensive training course has been developed in conjunction with industry and RAMPS (UK) to ensure users of Aluminium Phosphide are adequately trained. Aluminium Phosphide is a dangerous compound which used incorrectly can be hazardous to the health and safety of users, the general public and non-target animals, therefore it is essential that people are trained properly in the safe use of aluminium phosphide.
The training will provide a full working knowledge of commercial products and application equipment to be able to plan, implement and monitor a control programme appropriate to the situation using efficient and safe methods with regard to the environment.
The training is ideal for pest control operatives, game keepers, people working in agriculture, horticulture and conservation.
On completion of the training you will receive a certificate of attendance providing you with the performance criteria to complete the Lantra Awards Level 2 Award in the Safe Use of Aluminium Phosphide for Vertebrate Pest Control licence to practice.
This training course attracts 12 Basis CPD points.
Who is the Course For? / The comprehensive training is aimed at anyone who wishes to control vertebrates using aluminium phosphide in a commercial environment and is suitable for pest control operatives, farmers, gamekeepers and greenkeepers.
This training will appeal to people in agriculture, horticulture, conservation, sports management, and related industries where it is necessary to use aluminium phosphide to control vertebrate pests.
Learners must be able to read and interpret information and have previous knowledge of the anatomy and biology of rabbits, moles and rodents and be familiar with completing risk and COSHH assessments. It is recommended that learners have a basic knowledge of first aid.
