Greetings Lambda Phi Brother’s
I bring you greetings from the Lambda Phi Chapter of Omega Psi Phi, Inc. The Lambda Phi Chapter will be hosting its first ever “Lambda Phi Reunion” in 2014. The reunion will be planned around our main scholarship benefit- Mardi Gras 2014. As you know, it will take a lot of support to put on an event of this magnitude; this is why we are asking all brothers who came through the Lambda Phi chapter to pledge $50.00. The amount will help finance our reunion activities and needed supplies. It does not matter if a brother is or is not a current financial member of Lambda Phi or any other chapter. We are asking for the brother’s to pledge that amount or more. This will be a Lambda “HARD” Phi Reunion and it will be up to the brothers who came through the Lambda Phi Chapter to finance this event. I am hoping that we can get 100% participation from the brother’s to make this historic event successful.
THE LAMBDA PHI REUNION GOALS ARE:
1. “MANHOOD” TO REUNITE BROTHERS WHO PLEDGED LAMBDA PHI / CURRENT BROTHERS WHO ARE MEMBERS, TO FELLOWSHIP WITH VISITING BROTHERS
2. “SCHOLARSHIP” MARDI GRAS 2014 ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP BENEFIT, DR. D.T. WALTON SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION
3. “PERSERVERENCE” RECLAMATION! TO ENCOURAGE BROTHERS WHO ARE NOT ACTIVE IN ANY CHAPTER, TO SEE HOW LAMBDA PHI HAS GROWN AND MAYBE COME BACK HOME
4. “UPLIFT” CUMMUNITY SERVICE, NETWORKING, TO PROMOTE A HEALTHIER AND STRONGER BLOODLINE FOR THE BROTHERS
It Couldn’t Be Done

Somebody said that it couldn’t be done,
But, he with a chuckle replied
That "maybe it couldn’t," but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it.
Somebody scoffed: "Oh, you’ll never do that;
At least no one has done it";
But he took off his coat and he took off his hat,
And the first thing we knew he’d begun it.
With a lift of his chin and a bit of a grin,
Without any doubting or quiddit,
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it.
There are thousands to tell you it cannot be done,
There are thousands to prophesy failure;
There are thousands to point out to you one by one,
The dangers that wait to assail you.
But just buckle it in with a bit of a grin,
Just take off your coat and go to it;
Just start to sing as you tackle the thing
That "couldn’t be done," and you’ll do it.
THE DATE FOR THE REUNION WEEKEND IS
MARCH 14-16, 2014.
WE ARE ENCOURAGEING BROTHERS TO TURN THEIR MONEY IN ASAP TO THEIR LINE REPRESENTATIVES. THIS WILL HELP PRERIGISTER YOU FOR THE ACTIVITIES FOR THE WEEKEND AND GIVE US A COUNT. WE HAVE A HOTEL THAT WILL GIVE US A GOOD RATE FOR OUR WEEKEND EVENT FOR TRAVELERS.
