1. INTRODUCTION
The purpose of this document is to provide potential new clients with an insight into the comprehensive fuel installation services offered by JWEC Contracting (Pty) Ltd; a South African company based in the Cape Town Metro owned by Jeremy Williams.
2. OWNERSHIP & BEE CREDENTIALS
The business was established in 1996 by Jeremy Williams who has accumulated more than 25 years’ experience in the industry. JWEC is a wholly-owned BEE company which has been accredited as a level 3 BEE enterprise.
3. BACKGROUND
The sole shareholder and Managing Director of the company is Mr Jeremy Williams, (47-year old PDI male entrepreneur) who has been operating his fuel installation and contracting business since April, 1996. He is well versed in the petro-chemical industry and learnt his trade as a fitter and turner in Cape Town for 10 years. In 1996 an opportunity presented itself which allowed the owner to start-up his own business. The new business venture was started with nominal seed capital. A new legal entity, styled J Williams Contracting CC was incorporated in the same year to accommodate the new business. This close corporation has since been replaced by a new private company which was registered in January, 2012. The company currently employs a total staff complement of about 20 people who are highly skilled and experienced.

4. INDUSTRY FOCUS
The business is allied to the retail fuel and petro-chemical industry and provides installation services of fuel tanks, dispensers, separators, sumps and pipelines as well as on-going maintenance to its corporate and retail client base, as well as contractors in the Western Cape. During 2011 JWEC was appointed as subcontractor for the fuel installation services at “The Stables Bus Depot”, Potsdam as part of the City of Cape Town’s BRT system which forms part of the R4, 6 billion Integrated Rapid Transport infrastructure development project. The contract value of this particular project exceeded R3mil and was completed on time and within budget. The Main Contractor was Boshard Construction. The company also completed the fuel installation contract at Imperial Cargo, Paarl during January, 2012. The client in this instance was Total SA and the value of the contract was for approximately R850,000. The company also completed the fuel installation at Nicole’s Service Station in Nooiensfontein Road, Kuilsriver on behalf of Epic Petroleum during the latter half of 2011. The value of the works exceeded R900,000-00. For the calendar year 2012 the company is poised to complete the fuel installation work at the Atlantis and Inner City, Napier Street bus depots.
5. SERVICE OFFERING
The services offered by the company encompasses all aspects of fuel installation systems e.g. underground & above ground composite and jacketed tanks, separators and dispensers and pipelines. Forecourt fuel systems and civil works are also available to privately owned and corporate service stations as well as maintenance.
6. CLIENT BASE
The client base essentially comprises retail fuel companies e.g. Total SA Engen & Sasol amongst others, Commercial Fuel Depots and Private Retail Fuel service station owners. Since 2011 the company secured new subcontracting work from major construction companies involved in the construction of the City of Cape Town “Integrated Rapid Transit” infrastructure development projects. Boshard Construction, Power Construction and Civils 2000 have to date engaged the services of JWEC. The company is familiar with the Retail and Corporate fuel sector and understands the culture of delivering on time and within budget.
7. METHOD OF ENGAGEMENT
Retail customers are extended COD terms and credit terms are available on application. With subcontracting works the terms extended accord with the GCC terms and conditions.
8. VALUE PROPOSITION
The company provides a professional and dedicated service to its clients with all processes and installations directed by the owner and his experienced staff. JWEC prides itself for delivering a quality product on time and within the price quoted.
