A limited number of scholarships are available each year for outstanding candidates who have been accepted as full time students into Year 1 at The Hotel School commencing in 2017.
Two scholarships will be offered to the value of $40,000 each. These scholarship are offered to new students who are studying the Bachelor of Business in Hotel Management degree at The Hotel School (THS) Sydney and Melbourne (one scholarship per campus), and will be enrolling in a minimum of three units per session and undertaking a minimum of 8 units per academic year. Applicants for The Hotel School New Student Scholarship must be Australian citizens or permanent residents.
Selection Criteria:
1. Prior to the Intercontinental Insight Day, students are to submit the following information;
a. A copy of academic record for the last 2 years
b. A recent colour passport size (or similar) photo
c. An outline of work experience including any leadership involvement in the school and/or workplace
d. An outline of any community involvements including contributions to their school and/or broader community, as well as any extracurricular activities they participate in
e. A Candidate statement; students are asked to explain in 200 – 300 words ‘what a THS scholarship would mean to them and how it would it help to achieve their life goals’.
All of the above criteria to be submitted to The Hotel School two weeks prior to the event.
2. During the Intercontinental Insights Day
a. Observation and evaluation of candidates by The Hotel School staff representatives
3. ‘THS Challenge’ - shortlisted candidates will be contacted to take part in a presentation at THS
a. Candidates to be called into the campus and given a topic and 30 minutes to prepare a 2-3 minute presentation to an evaluation panel.
The scholarship application is submitted separately from your application to The Hotel School.
