The History of the Blow Job
The “blow job” is the act of performing oral intercourse on a male. Fellatio is derived from the Latin verb fellare, meaning, “to suck”, seemingly the opposite of “blow” – but why argue?
Over the centuries, the blow job has had many colorful names. Josephine and Napoleon may well have called the act “gobble”, a term which indicates some haste in completing the deed, as Napoleon was always burying back to the front. “Yummy it down”, is a newer expression, based on eating with gusto or pleasure, likely used by Bonnie and Clyde.

For example, centuries ago Hinduism considered oral-genital contact a sin, yet erotic manuals of the period included concise directions for performing the deed. Until very recently, Western civilization has had a negative attitude toward oral sex.
