Camarillo, CA – April 13, 2004 Museum Quality Framing proudly presents June Carey on Sunday, May 16th at a Taste of Wine Country reception from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The show will include a wide selection of Carey’s published prints and original works. Carey will be on hand to meet fans and to personalize her art. She will also HAND EMBELLISH her canvases sold by Museum Quality Framing for the show. Carey told owner James Brent, “In time, I look back on previous works enjoying the images and memories they evoke, but wishing I had done this or that. It’s a natural result of additional life experiences. With hand embellishing, I can update my paintings to reflect my growth as an individual and artist. I am very excited! ” Museum Quality Framing is located at 2120 E. Ponderosa Drive in Camarillo.

From California to Italy, June Carey paints breathtaking landscapes and has received numerous awards for her California landscapes and coastal scenes. “As a young adult I fell in love with the California landscape and its Mediterranean coastal climate,” said Carey. “I have a passion to create places I want to be and vineyards seize my fascination. By making these scenes real through a very deliberate use of lighting, I hope to create a sense of place for other people as well. I’m experiencing a very exciting time in my career with an insatiable appetite for painting and I feel I’ve only scratched the surface of the many paintings I want to create.”

Starting at the young age of 12, Carey painted with oils and has continued using oils as her preferred medium. She has received numerous awards for her California landscapes and coastal scenes, including the Arts for the Parks Region II Award in 1997 and 1998.

“We often visit the wine country,” said a Museum Quality Framing customer. “We find the vast expanse of vineyards and noble wineries captivating, and June’s artwork provides a wonderful reminiscence for our home.”

“June’s work has a universal appeal as the subject matter is timeless,” said James Brent, owner of Museum Quality Framing. “The beautiful Tuscan-like vineyards, courtyards and architecture are very authentic and detailed. We’re very excited to show her work.”

The art of June Carey is published exclusively by The Greenwich Workshop of Seymour, Connecticut and is available only through authorized dealers. Greenwich Workshop is the leading publisher of limited edition fine art in North America.
