THE GREATER HILLTOP AREA COMMISSION

SELECTION INFORMATION PACKET

Elections will only be held if there are five (5) or more petitions filed. No election is required if four (4) or less petitions are filed. If required the Greater Hilltop Area Commission election will take place on June 30, 2018 between the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM. If an election is required the locations of the polling stations will be announced at the June 5, 2018 meeting of the Greater Hilltop Area Commission. This meeting will be held at the Hilltop Library, 511 S. Hague Ave. at 7:00 PM. The number of volunteers available may determine the number and locations of polling stations.

In the event an election is requiredAll RESIDENTS over the age of eighteen (18) and living in the Greater Hilltop Area are eligible to vote.Hilltop residents do not need to be a registered voter however IDENTIFICATION showing proof of residency IS REQUIRED.

Persons wishing to run for a seat, which is a three year term, on the Greater Hilltop Area Commission must meet the following criteria: The candidate must reside in the Greater Hilltop Area as described in Section 3111.05 of the Columbus City Code. The candidate must maintain residency in the Greater Hilltop Area to remain a member of GHAC. The candidate must complete and return a candidate packet/petition in accordance with the election rules. Candidate packets are available now on this website.

Please note the filing deadline: Candidate packets MUST BE COMPLETED AND RETURNED no later than 4:00 pm EDT Friday, May 25, 2018, and may be delivered to:
