2012 CALL FOR PAPERS
Coming of Age: The Evolution of Forensic Mental Health
The 37th Annual Conference of the Forensic Mental Health Association of California will be held from March 21-23, 2012, at the Embassy Suites in Seaside, CA. The conference will consist of quality presentations relating to forensic mental health and relevant to medical and mental health clinicians, law enforcement, the courts, parole and probation officers and other professionals working with the forensic mentally ill population.
FMHAC invites you to participate in our 2012 conference with a full presentation or poster. We are seeking proposals that address legal issues/changes in forensic mental health, evidence-based best treatment practices, highlight innovative programs with statistical support, and discuss other issues in the field. Presentations addressing current concerns, research, treatment and assessment in forensic mental health are also welcome.
PROPOSAL SUBMISSION PROCEDURE
Presentation Requirements
Time allotted per workshop is 90 minutes. Presenters are expected to provide their own handouts to attendees. Handouts will be posted on the website prior to the event and distributed at the conference on CDs. If handouts include any copyrighted materials, they must be provided to attendees by presenters.One complimentary conference attendance per presentation will be allotted for the main speaker, unless otherwise specified, and expenses are not reimbursed.
Poster Requirements
Posters should have the following format: horizontal size 150 cm x vertical size 120 cm (maximal dimension of individual panels) and will be mounted on easels. They should be shown for all 3 days of the meeting (Wednesday – Friday). A session with all first authors present will be held on Wednesday evening. Poster authors must register for the conference to attend workshops and no expenses are reimbursed.
