The Athens-Limestone Public Library Foundation provides capital and operating support for the Athens-Limestone Public Library. All estate gifts, unless otherwise specified, will be added to the Library’s endowment fund to provide ongoing Library support. Individuals who notify the Athens-Limestone Public Library Foundation of their intent to donate an estate gift of at least $5,000 will be recognized as members of The Southard Society.

Wills can be a simple and safe way of supporting the Athens-Limestone Public Library Foundation. A gift made through your will can provide a legacy which will support the library for future generations.

You can make an estate gift by simply adding a paragraph (codicil) to your existing will. A codicil (paragraph) can specify that a percentage, a dollar amount, the remainder of an estate, or a property (land, stock, etc.) be given to The Athens-Limestone Public Library Foundation after your death. Adding a codicil gift to your existing will is easy and inexpensive. The following are examples of the language that you or your attorney might use to provide for The Athens-Limestone Public Library Foundation in your will or codicil to your will.

If any of the above-named beneficiaries should predecease me, I hereby bequeath his/her share to The Athens-Limestone Public Library Foundation in Athens, Alabama.
