2 Tim. 1:7 AMPC For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear), but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control.
Introduction
We must wake up and learn how to recognize the work of the enemy and how to overcome his attacks against the mind. For the mind is the primary area he seeks to attack. Today we will learn that while pursuing the subject of spiritual warfare, if we only focus on the devil and fail to consider other equally important areas, our emphasis on spiritual warfare can and will be very damaging.
Ignorance of God’s word and a lack of disciplined application of that word to our everyday lives, leaves us as believer in a vulnerable position.
The greatest abuse happens within the leadership of the Church and within our homes. This abuse is then passed on to the members and our children.

In short, what we don't know will steal, kill, and destroy us.
Identifying and winning the battle within…Before we qualify to fight a battle anywhere, we must first learn to win the one within!

A person can scream at the devil all day long, but if they have willfully permitted some area of their mind to go unchecked and unguarded — if they are aware of an area of sin, but have not been willing to deal with it — they have opened the door to an attack.

We must be careful to remember that the real war with Satan was won at the cross and through the resurrection.
