God is Faithful

Summary:

Faithfulness is one of the most important characteristic of God. It is God’s faithfulness that makes Him consistently constant the same way all the time. Regardless of whatever your situation or circumstances are God is faithful to His Word and to us. If we will place our confidence in God, we will be able to look back in our past and see the Hand of God leading and guiding us out of darkness and into a wealthy place.

Definition: Faithful

Synonyms: faithful, loyal, constant, steadfast, RELIABLE, DEPENDABLE, TRUSTWORTHY to be firm to whatever or whoever you have pledged or committed your allegiance. faithful: unswerving allegiance to a person or thing or to the oath, promise or a contract, firmly and devotedly supportive faithful to His promise>. loyal: a firm resistance to any temptation to desert or betray he was loyal to the King. constant: continuing firmness, strict obedience to promises or vows, to be the same way all the time constant friends, Jesus Christ the same. steadfast: a steady and unwavering course in love, allegiance, or conviction steadfast in their support>. Reliable: Dependable, one that can be depended on. Dependable: Reliable, can be trust to do what was promised. Trustworthy: worthy of trust; reliable.

A.  God is Faithful to His Word. (1 Corinthians 1:9 AMP)

1.  He is Reliable – therefore God and His Word can be relied upon.

a.  He watches over His Word to perform it. (Jeremiah 1:12, AMP).

b.  The Word of the Lord that came to Elisha in the midst of the siege of Samaria by the Syrians. (2 Kings 7:1-20, KJV, CEV)

2.  He is Trustworthy – God and His Word can be trusted.

a.  My covenant will I not break. (Psalm 89:34, KJV)

b.  God cannot lie. (Titus 1:2 KJV)

c.  It is impossible for God to lie. (Hebrews 6:17-18).

3.  He is Dependable – God and His Word can be depended on.

a.  In the Lord God you have a sure thing. (Isaiah 26:1 MSG)

B.  God’s Faithfulness to Us.

1.  God’s Faithfulness is His continuous commitment to us and His Word.

a.  I will never leave thee nor forsake thee. (Hebrews 13:5)

2.  God’s Faithfulness is constant and has endured to every generation. (Psalm 100:5).

a.  Jesus Christ the same. (Hebrews 13:8).

b.  I change not. (Malachi 3:6).

C.  God is faithful to us in the midst of our test and trials. (1 Corinthians 10:13, KJV, AMP)

1.  When we find ourselves in the middle of a test or trial, God said that what you’re being tested with/by is something that is common to man, meaning it is not something that is divine and never experience by mankind.

2.  God said in the midst of every test and trial, He has made sure that it is something that you can bare.

a.  Notice that the Scripture does not state that “God won’t put more on you than you can bear.”

b.  The devil is the tempter and he is the one that brings temptations, test and trials before you.

3.  The Word says that with God said that He would be with us in the midst of every storm. (Isaiah 43:2, KJV, AMP)

4.  There are times God deliver us out of test and trials and there are times that God deliver us through the test and trials.

a.  Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego being thrown in the midst of the burning fiery furnace. (Daniel 3:1-30, KJV, AMP)

1)  God has the ability to deliver you in such a way that your enemies won’t even smell smoke upon you. (Daniel 3:27, KJV, CEV)

b.  When David faced Goliath, he reminded himself of how God had been faithful in delivering him from the lion and the bear. (1 Samuel 17:36)

c.  When I was stationed in Turkey, living in the hotel and dealing with loneliness and hopelessness.

d.  When I was in the hospital.

1)  God told me “I got you”.

2)  He also told me to “hold on to His Voice”.

e.  Jesus went through temptations, test and trials just like we did. (Matthew 4:1, AMP) (Hebrews 4:15, KJV, AMP, CEV)

5.  Jesus overcame every temptation, test and trial for you. (John 16:33, AMP)

6.  We must learn to depend on and have confidence in God’s Faithfulness.

God is faithful to His Word and to us. He is dependable, He is reliable and He can be trusted. Will you trust Him, today?
