Thank you for applying for "The faces behind statistics – How can the Millennium Development Goals influence your life?" workshop that World Vision Romania(WVR)will organize between the19-25th April 2012.

The purpose of this workshop is to address poverty eradication through community and rural development, social inclusion and through the promotion of active citizenship and human rights.

The workshop will be held in Crit, where WVR’s most important agricultural development projecthas been on-going for 6 years. The “Agricultural Consulting and Learning Centre in Crit” provides integrated solutions for the community to fight poverty and social exclusion. World Vision aims to enhance the agricultural and business capacity of Romanian small farmers and help them survive and prosper in a market economy.

We welcome applications from:

a. Adults who want to learn more about the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and how they can improve their lives and the lives of people around them;

b. Adults who want to understand how European policies influence their lives and of those living in developing countries;

c. Adults interested in sharing and building their experiences on how to better eradicate poverty and fight social exclusion.

d. Young professionals in organizations fighting against social exclusion and marginalization caused by poverty.

Applicants should reside in or originate from GREECE, CYPRUS, MALTA, GERMANY, AUSTRIA or BELGIUM.

Reimbursements:

WVR will cover all costs involving international transport (flight tickets), local transport (bus from Bucharest to Crit, taxi from and to airport), food and accommodation. Flight tickets will be purchased by WVR.

We will not, however, cover personal expenses that you may have during your stay in Romania.

All reimbursements will be provided based on bills or invoices.
