Dear Applicant,

Thank you for your interest in THE EXAMINED LIFE, a program sponsored by the Division of Arts and Humanities of The Richard Stockton College and the National Endowment for the Humanities.

Any K-12 educator from southern New Jersey is eligible to apply to The Examined Life: Hellenic Studies in the Schools. For each group of twenty (20) fellows, the widest diversity in gender, nationality and ethnicity, grade level, and subject taught is sought. Special outreach efforts will be made to recruit from disadvantaged school districts.

Each Fellow must attend the required Study Tour of Greece for which you will need to have a valid passport. You should discuss your application with your principal or supervisor to ensure that you will be permitted to take the time off for the Tour.

Preference is given to applicants who have not traveled before to Greece. A commitment for the Study Tour, and a $250.00 trip deposit must be made upon acceptance into the program. We will inform you about your application by December 16th, 2011.

Please return the application material and the accompanying materials to:
