The European Union (EU) is an economic and political partnership between 28 European countries. It plays an important role in international affairs through diplomacy, trade, development aid and working with global organisations.Abroad, the EU is represented through more than 140 diplomatic representations, known also as EU Delegations, with similar functions to those of an embassy.

We offer a post of SeniorSecretaryin the Operations Section. The selected person will carry out all sorts of clerical and secretarial tasks reporting to the Head of Operations. The post offered is Local Agent – Group-III. We offer a competitive progressive carrier in an international environment. We look for
- Candidates must have higher school education preferably in the field of administration and at least three years of experience in a similar position. Experience in an International Organisation or a Diplomatic Mission will be considered an asset.
- Candidates must have an excellent command (spoken and written) of both, English and Burmese and must have a high level of computer literacy (word, excel, outlook, internet).
- Candidates must have strong organisational and administrative skills and the capacity to work in a multicultural team. They must demonstrate good interpersonal skills, teamwork capacity and good communication skills with both internal and external contacts. A sense of initiative is required, so is stress resistance.
