Once again we want to seize this opportunity to thank all of you for the support you have continued to give to the Enugu USA Medical Mission. The medical mission team, the entire EnuguUSA, and the people of Enugu at home do appreciate your kind gestures towards the affairs of the medical mission.

In pursuant of the resolution of the 2010 medical mission team, that the Ofuobi women Association of Washington DC should, using the guidelines provided to them select the towns/communities that will be visited by Enugu USA medical Mission this year 2010; we do hereby ask the Ofuobi Women Association Washington DC to do so using the guidelines as provided below.

It is expected that the Ofuobi Women Association of Washington DC at the end of the exercise will provide the following for EnuguUSA for public and record purposes:

  1. A clear list of towns they have selected to be visited during the 2010 EnuguUSA medical mission indicating health district and local govt. they belong.
  2. Acomprehensive list of all towns all ready visited by the Enugu USA Medical Mission since inception in 2002.

GUIDLEINES FOR SELECTION OF TOWNSCOMMUNITIES TO BE VISITED BY THE ENUGUUSA MEDICAL MISSION

(PLEASE NOTE THIS METHOD OF SELECTION OF TOWNS HAS BEEN TESTED AND ADOPTED BY ENUGUUSA AND IT WORKED FOR THEM; THIS METHOD SHOULD NOT BE CHANGED UNLESS IN A GENERAL SETTING/ASSEMBLY OF THE ENTIRE ENUGUUSA)

  1. The above process must be carried out in an open setting comprising the general assembly of the association/organization selected to do so or the general assembly of Enugu USA in a national convention where possible.
  2. It must be ensured that all seven (7) health districts in EnuguState are listed thus: Awgu health District, Udi health District, Nsukka Health District, Enugu Ezike Health District, Ikem Health District, Enugu Urban Health District, and Agbani Health District.
  3. It must be ensured that all local govt. areas are listed and under the health district they belong(note we are dealing with the original local govt. areas not newer one and the autonomous communities)
  4. Identify all community already visited by the Enugu USA Medical mission. (note the Association/organization doing the selection deserve the responsibility to go into the previous EnuguUSA records to fish out names of towns/communities already visited)
  5. Write the names of all towns/communities not yet visited separately in a piece of paper local govt. by local govt.; ensure no town/community already visited is included.
  6. Enclose the listed towns/communities not visited in pieces into a ballot bag or box local govt. by local govt.
  7. Pick someone preferably a child to dip hand into the ballot bag or box to pick the number of towns/communities as indicated by the medical mission team from each local govt. area.
  8. List the selected towns/communities according to health districts and local govt. areas. THESE ARE THE TOWNS TO BE VISITED BY THE MEDICAL MISSION TEAM.
