The webmail of The Haven Nation is designed to aid communication of brethren within the Nation and totally replace all other forms of email.

The Haven is a global organisation and such all it activities on the internet should be central and controlled internally.

To ensure this is achieved, we have created email accounts for all the chapters and various levels of leadership in The Haven Nation. These emails have been active in the past weeks for the leaders and the last to be created are the chapter emails.

The emails created will be used for the following purposes;

  • Chapter Emails: - the governor and the chapter leaders can use this email for their chapter correspondences and to communicate with the Zones for any information to be circulated
  • Groupmails – we have also created Groupmails for each Zone to facilitate communications amongst the various Chapters in the Zone. This Groupmails can be used by the Zones to circulate information within their Zone or the Chapter to send information to all the other chapters in the Zone. The International Directors, IOD Zonal Teams can also use this email to reach all the Chapters in the Zone. This Groupmails functions exactly like your Zonal Yahoo Groupmails which has now been faced out. The Groupmail is controlled by the Zonal Office.
  • The Global Groupmail – This email automatically replaces Yahoo Groupmail for . This Groupmail functions like the Yahoo Group and the rules of use is the same as the same rule for Zonal Groupmails. The global Groupmail is controlled from the International Office.
  • Other Groupmails: there are special Groupmails for all offices in the Haven Nation and the various departments will be advised with their details. The control and management of these Groupmail lies with the department.
  • Rules for Groupmail Use - The rules for Groupmails use has been published on Yookos in ‘TheHavenGovernors’ Group for reference. It is very important that brethren abide by the rules to avoid abuse.

HOW TO LOGIN TO WEBMAIL

  • On your browser type when you do a screen appears that looks like the picture below

  • Now you can see my email typed in the box in the picture, you need to type your email address or your chapter email address as seen in the picture above. Please do not type just your name and omit the @thehavennation.org like you do on Yahoo the email address will be wrong. Type you password. Since it is your first time we gave you a special password use that to login to your webmail. And click Login
  • Next a screen like the picture below appears. This is where you can read your email, change your password
  • Since an automatic password was created for you, the first thing you do is to change your password, by clicking change password icon on the left bottom of the page below. Change your password to something you can remember and close the form. When logging in again note you will not be allowed to use your old password except the new one.
  • You can use forwarding option should you want to receive your webmail in your normal email accounts, just play around the function of the page below to see the features of each icon
  • To view your mails, you can either use any of the three webmail readers below, horde, squirrel mail or round cube, just click on read email using anyone of them and you are in your inbox.

  • You can from this point send emails by using compose, etc. Just play around all the buttons in this panel to see what you can do with each tab.
  • Following these steps you are ready to use your webmail

HOW TO SET UP WEBMAIL ON IPAD/IPHONE

  • Click on Settings
  • Then click mail, Contacts and Calendar
  • Click add account
  • Click Other
  • The screen below comes up
  • Name - Please fill the name as you would want it to appear when you reply or send emails.
  • Email - type your @thehavennation.org email address
  • Description - This is your email account

Under Incoming mail server

  • Host Name: type thehavennation.org
  • Username: please type your full email address
  • Type: password - the same password as you would use for your laptop

Under Outgoing mail server

  • The host name is thehavennation.org
  • Username: your full email address
  • Password - the same as above.
