Inspiro® oven’s cooking knowledge creates freedom to try new things
Knowledge from professional chefs guides the cooking process automatically, making it easier to get great results the first time
Professional chefs know the right cooking time, temperature and heating mode for all their dishes. The Electrolux Inspiro® oven gives automatic access to the same settings for hundreds of dishes at the touch of a button – while saving 15% in energy consumption compared to a normal oven.
“This knowledge gives you the confidence to cook things you’ve never cooked before,” says Daniel Arler, SVP Product Line Kitchenof Electrolux EMEA. “It’s a perfect example of how we are putting the knowledge of professional chefs to work for people at home.”
Electrolux, which has equipped the kitchens of nearly half of Europe’s Michelin-starred chefs, is launching the oven as part of the company’s new Inspiration Range of kitchen and laundry appliances.
To use the knowledge built into the Inspiro oven, one simply chooses the dish to be cooked and puts the food into the oven on the suggested shelf level. No pre-heating is necessary. Inspiro takes into account the volume of the food, then uses a database of cooking knowledge inspired by a team of professional chefs to set the right time and temperature.
“Unlike conventional recipe ovens, Inspiro automatically adjusts the heating mode – top or bottom heating, convection, grilling, and so on – during cooking for optimum results,” explains Arler.
A few minutes after the cooking process has started, the oven indicates the estimated time of completion. When the food is ready, the oven sounds an alert and turns itself off. The oven can also be operated manually, just like any other top-of-the-line oven.
Design is elegant, not industrial
In the new Inspiration Range design, modern architectural lines and authentic materials combine to make the appliances elegant and distinctive, yet easy to adapt to different kinds of kitchens. Simplified graphics, premium white LED touch fields, black glass, brushed stainless-steel, a new handle and the company’s VelvetClose ® soft-closing door give the Electrolux Inspiro® oven a premium look and fit-feel-finish.
The oven has been updated with new features based on the company’s 90 years of experience equipping professional kitchens. Like the other Inspiration ovens, Inspiro® offers largest baking tray on the market. A new shelf system offers the possibility of up to nine shelf positions with repositionable telescopic runners. It also allows simultaneous cooking on three levels.
The oven’s new FoodProbe also gets an improved ergonomic design, plugging into the front frame of the oven instead of into the side of the cavity. “Professional chefs regularly use a food probe to know when the food has reached the correct internal temperature,” Arler says. “Now it takes less effort to do the same thing at home.”
Just like the professionals, consumers also have high standards for cleaning but have little time to scour out their ovens. That was the inspiration for the Inspiro® oven’s pyrolytic function, which turns food residues into ash that can then be wiped away with a damp cloth.
