The Conference Official Language Will Be English

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION FORM SCAND-LAS 2018

Authors are requested to read the instructions carefully before submitting their abstract. Further information can be found at the conference website.

All proposal most be submitted by 15th January 2018. The final selection of abstracts to be included in the symposium will be informed to all contributors by email no later than 1st February 2018.

Instructions

The conference official language will be English.

All fields of the abstract submission form are required:

1.Please select to which theme of the conference your abstract is being submitted.

2.Indicate presentation type (oral or poster).

3.Please fill in all required information regarding the presenting author.

4.The abstract title (max. 25 words) should convey without excessive detail the abstract subject matter.

5.Author information (max 10) to appear in abstract should be presented as follows and can be copy paste from a Word document if preferred:

a.Author format should follow: Surname, Initials: e.g. Andersen AB, Bolton CD, Colten EF & Davies GH

b.The affiliation format should follow: Department, Institute, Faculty, Institution, City code, City, Country: e.g. Laboratory Animal Department, Institute of Medical Biology, Medical Faculty, Northern University, 0000 North Town, Norway.

c.Affiliation for all authors should be stated. If more than one author is contributing and their affiliation is different, use superscript numbers behind each author's name and in front of the author's affiliation.

6.Abstract text should not exceed 2750 characters, spaces included. Abstract should be a single paragraph. Tables and figures are not permitted in the abstract.

7.Studies involving the use of live animals should additionally meet these criteria:

a)The abstract should be organized in Aim of the study; Material and Methods; Results; and Conclusion (but presented as a single paragraph). It should address clearly the hypothesis (why was the study conducted) or the problem that have been addressed (the circumstances leading to the work being described)

b)The Material and Methods should contain a statement indicating whether the study has been approved by the relevant competent authority

c)The Material and Methods should contain information on how the study was designed and conducted; include pertinent information such as the number of animals in the study, analytical techniques, sampling frequencies or times, statistical analyses, and welfare assessments.
