Eligibility
- Candidates must be Canadian citizens,
- Hold a Ph.D. or equivalent professional/terminal degree as appropriate. Candidates outside academia (e.g., professionals, artists) with recognized professional standing and substantial professional accomplishments are also eligible,
- Meet all othereligibility requirements.

Traditional Fulbright student awards
The competition is for awards to be taken upfor one 9-month academic year starting September 2016
Eligibility
- Candidates must be Canadian citizens,
- Be in receipt of a bachelor's degree prior to the proposed start date of the grant,
- Meet all othereligibility requirements.

ForeignLanguage Teaching Assistant (FLTA) Program
The competition is for awards to be taken upfor one 10-month academic year starting August 2016
Eligibility
- Candidates must be Francophone Canadian citizens,
- Be proficient in French and in English,
- Be aged between 21 and 29 years at the time of application,
- Be in receipt of a bachelor's degree prior to the proposed start date of thegrant,Master's degrees are highly desirableat many institutions
- Meet all othereligibility requirements.

Undergraduate Students can apply to the:
Killam Fellowships Program
The competition is for awards to be taken up September 2016 and/or January 2017
This award is structurally similar to the Fulbright program as it allows Canadian undergraduate students to spend one semester in the United States.
Candidates can apply to the:
Direct Exchange Program-Applicants submit their applications through their home institution.
NOTE deadlinesvary from December 2015 to January 2016 at each of the partner institutions participating in the direct exchange.Consult theInstructions for Canadian undergraduate applicantsfor exact dates.
Open Competition Program- Applicants can submit their applications through their home institution or can submit their application directly to Fulbright Canadaon or before February 1, 2016

- Candidates must be Canadian citizens,
- Be full-time undergraduate students in good standing at a degree granting institution in Canada,
- Meet all othereligibility requirementsas indicated in the application package.
