Volunteers needed to support our elderly

Would you like to offer some of your spare time to offer companionship and friendship to elderly people living in Ware Care Homes?

We're looking for women and men with a heart for the elderly, to be part of something new in Ware. LoveWare LiveWare are setting up a Care Home Visiting Group which will offer support to local Care Homes through a network of willing volunteers– are you interested in being involved?

The aim of the Group is to share God's love through participating in activities with the residents or just chatting with them. We will work in small teams of 2 or 3 and typically the commitment would be around 1.5 hours either once a month or fortnightly.

Visits would take place either in the morning or afternoon and would be agreed in advance with the Care Homes.

After a short initial training session (1-2 hours), you will always work as part of a small team with the Care Home Activities Coordinator in the communal area spending time with a group of residents.
