CONDITIONS OF 50M & 25 YDSBENCHREST RIFLE MEETING

Rifles can be either .22 cartridge or Air rifle .22 and under.

Y.S.R.A. 2004 Series targets will be used for this competition. Cards can only be shot in 2 consecutive details commencing at 9.30,10.30,11.30,12.30, 1.30, 2.30 and 3.30

There will be 30 shots to count in the two 20 minute details, with only 10 shots to count in the first detail to give competitors time to get set up correctly and sight in, the second detail will be 20 shots to count with Sighters as required.

There will be two competitions 30 shots at 25 yards and 30 shots at 50 metres; competitors may enter at either distance or both.

The competition will not be Squadded; every available bench will be used on the range so it will be on a first come basis. Competitors will be able to move their target holders between 25 yds and 50 metres on the same point during the change over period.

Cards may be shot at any time while the meeting is in progress but the Association will not refund entry fees to competitors who arrive too late to complete their program.

N.S.R.A. rules will apply. Ties will be resolved by count-back. Order of precedence card 3 over card 2, card 2 over card1, in each competition.

When a Trophy is presented to the winner a photograph will be taken of the winner with the trophy. The winner will be sent a copy of the photograph, and their name will be added to the list of previous winners. The Association will retain the trophy.

Challenged scores

Challenges must be lodged before the presentation of prizes. For each challenge a fee of £2.00 will be made which will be returned if the challenge is upheld.

Ammunition is not on sale at the range Remember to bring 12 large bulldog clips to secure targets to the frames.

Competitors must submit an average from the best 8of the last 10 round scores on YSRA 2004 series indoor cards. (two cards per round ex 200).

Entries will be placed into classes according to the average submitted. Anyone not submitting a certified average will automatically be placed in class A.

Class “A” - average200 and over Class “B” – average 198 and under 200

Class “C” - average under 198.

Winners of Class B & C of the 2017 Open Benchrest shoot must enter at least the next Class above the one they won.
