Buckeye Book Fair Gift Certificate Grants

For Ohio Librarians, Teachers, & Reading Programs

In order to promote Ohio’s authors and encourage reading, the Buckeye Book Fair will award up to six (6) gift certificate grants to Ohio schools, public libraries, or other nonprofit organizations.

Gift certificates will be awarded as one $500 gift certificate to enhance a book collection or for a book give-away; or gift certificates totaling $500 will be awarded to individuals from a classroom or reading program. The gift certificate grants are made possible by the support of Ohio Humanities and the Ohio Arts Council.

Qualifications & Guidelines for BBF Gift Certificate Grants:

The Buckeye Book Fair is inviting you to apply for an opportunity to receive $500 worth of free books from the November 4, 2017 Buckeye Book Fair.

  • QUALIFICATIONS – Applications are open to Ohio nonprofit organizations, Ohio public and community libraries, and Ohio public and private schools that have a special project using the Buckeye Book Fair’s books by and about Ohioans.
  • GUIDELINES – Proposals for Buckeye Book Fair gift certificate grants are to show new and creative ways to encourage reading and to promote Ohio topics. In evaluating grant applications to determine the award recipients, our Grant Committee will consider the impact of the grant (including financial need) and evidence of careful planning in preparing the grant project. Priority is given to applications where students or constituents are involved.
  • DEADLINE – Applications must be submitted prior to or on the deadline of September 10, 2017.Requirements for the application:
