2018 DATES ~ 2017 RULES

Playoffs: Top 8 teams 9/7, 9/14, 9/17

Season Ending Banquet: Sept19th 2018 6pm

FORMAT: 2 person teams (can be mixed) will “scramble” through 9 holes with a team handicap. 1 point for each hole and 1 point for low net score will be awarded. Weekly points and standing will be kept. We will alternate nines each week. The top 8 teams will make a playoff to determine the overall league champs. Scorecards, handicaps, and schedules will be posted in the meeting room.

FEES: There is a one-time team fee of $60.00, which will be used for the league banquet. Anyone who subs will be invited to the year-end banquet however they will be required to pay a fee of $25.00. Greens fees are $14.00 to walk or $21.00 to ride. Players with the CRG Card will pay a riding fee of $18.00. League players can purchase the card in the pro shop for $44.95 (Normally $54.95). Complimentary greens & cart fees are provided for final match of the playoffs.

HANDICAPS:The league administrator will keep handicaps. Established handicaps will carry over from the previous season. Handicaps will be removed from the system after a full season of inactivity. Team handicaps will be figured by taking 96% of your best 3 of 5. Until 3 scores are recorded an average of scores will be used. Handicaps will be adjusted each week but not once the playoffs begin.New teams will use the chart posted in the clubhouse to figure their handicap. If the opposing team has an established handicap they will use the one provided. 6 strokes is the maximum handicap differential between teams.

STARTING TIMES: Both team members must check in at the pro shop and have paid the appropriate fees prior to the beginning of each match. Matches will begin at 5:30 except in April, August, & September when they will begin at 5:15. If there are open holes on the nine the match is to be played warm up holes are permitted (up to 45 minutes before starting time). Anyone wishing to play earlier will pay a special rate to be determined by the pro shop. Please respect golfers finishing up their rounds. If a team is late they lose all holes missed plus they will not be eligible for the point total. Due to circumstances beyond our control, league play may sometimes start a few minutes late (an outing taking more time than anticipated). Thank you for your patience.

PRIZES: 2 closest to pin prizes each week

Season Points Leaders-

1st $200.00, 2nd $100.00, and 3rd $50.00

Playoff winners-

1st $175.00, 2nd 75.00

ABSENT PLAYERS/TEAMS: Substitutes are permitted throughout the season for 1 or both team members. Matches may be rescheduled prior to the next match. If a team is absent or unable to reschedule, play the match as normal; 5 points will automatically be awarded along with ½ point for eachnet stoke under par.

If one person from the team plays they are entitled only to one shot. They will use the lowest team handicap that they have been associated with.

RAINOUTS: The latest a match will be delayed due to inclement weather will be 6:00pm. Matches will be declared official if all teams complete 4 holes. Unfinished holes and total score point will be halved. Strokes will fall as normal on the completed holes. Every effort will be made to complete the matches that evening. The league rain check policy will be prorated credit for carts and green fees for players with holes not finished.

IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF PLAYERS TO PICK UP RAIN CHECKS THAT NIGHT!!!

PLAYOFFS: The top 8 teams will play an elimination style playoff, (1 vs.8, 2 vs. 7 and so on). A team must have played together 3 times to be eligible for the playoffs.

RULES:

1. USGA rules apply (rules book).

2. Local rules apply – (Bridges) scorecards.

3. Opposing team can permit “Gimmies”.

4. You may move the ball 1 club everywhere, but you can’t change the condition also in hazards the ball must be dropped

5. Blue Tees – Professionals; White tees- Men; Red tees- Ladies; seniors (65+) as of 4/7/17 may play the gold tees.

6. Parking lot – If a ball comes to rest in the parking lot it will be dropped next to the dumpster are with no penalty. If the ball is not found or is over the parking lot it will be considered out of bounds.

7. Signed totaledscorecards are to be turned in following play – they are official once handed in.

8. Collared or Mock shirt required – Metal spikes are not permitted

9. Any ties at the conclusion of the season or throughout the play offs will be broken that evening (if light permits) or prior to the next scheduled event with a sudden death playoff.
