STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENT

  1. We will start collecting fees this week before school and First period. Students will NOT be allowed totake semester exams or turn in a form to leave after exams if fees are not paid. Students will need to bring EXACT CHANGE when paying fees!
  2. Students must sign up in the front office prior to taking a college in order for it to be counted as an excused day.
  3. Arrow Court maids and escorts need to meet in Ms. Tompkins's room (W211) at the beginning of homeroomon Wednesday. This will be a short meeting about the parade.
  4. DECA Members: If you haven't signed up for the district competition event, the deadline is this Thursday, December 5. Please let Mrs. Prather know which event you will compete in.
  5. Herff Jones will be here on Thursday December 5th during lunch to deliver class rings.
  6. All items for the ANGEL TREE need to be delivered no later that FRIDAY, DECEMBER 6th!!
  7. Youth in Government members who have registered to attend Model United Nations are required to stop by Mr. Beasley's room, Room E111, to sign up for Hotel Rooming Lists and also position to be held at the conference (GA Ambassador, Security Council Delegate, Economic and Social Delegate, Justice, Officer, Press, Etc. This must be done byThursday, December 5th.
  8. CHS Parents- The CHS PTO has fallen far short of our goal for participation in our membership drive and Unfundraiser. If you have not joined the PTO or made your Unfundraiser donation, please consider helping us by sending a $30 check to the school made out to CHS PTO. Please place the check in an envelope marked CHS PTO. Your membership dues of $5 and your $25 Unfundraiser donation will be used to support PTO events through the rest of the year. Thanks!
  9. ANCHOR CLUB REMINDERS: Money for the skate party is due byFriday. This DOES count as a service credit! Non-Anchors are welcome to participate in this fundraiser for Batson Hospital! Don't forget about the Ready, Set, Glow 5k at the Clinton YMCAthis Friday. Please be there at5:30. Bring a flashlight, and wear something bright!

BATSON FUNDRAISER: We are having an "It's a Wonderfully Tacky Christmas" skate party to raise money for Batson Children's Hospital onTuesday, December 10 from 7:00-9:00 p.m.Put on your favorite tacky Christmas sweater, and come enjoy pizza, drinks, awkward family photos, and prizes and skating! You must raise at least $25 to attend. See Mrs. Berry for more information.
  12. If it is raining outside when you arrive to school, students may report to the cafeteria. Students must be working on class work while they are in the cafeteria.

But can you prove it. 2014 Clinton High School Outdoor Track tryouts will be held for the boy’s team onTuesday, December 3, 2013, and for the girls team onWednesday, December 4, 2013. You must turn in a medical physical in order to tryout. You may sign up and pick up a packet from Coach Perkins.WE'LL BE WAITING FOR YOU ON THE TRACK!!!

The Mississippi Academy of Family Physicians Foundation 2014 David G. Hall, M.D. Memorial Scholarship Essay Entry:The Mississippi Academy of Family Physicians Foundation will award up to $3,500 to seniors across Mississippi who are interested in pursuing a career in the field of medicine.Each student that meets the criteria should submit to their counselor an application, along with his/her 500-word essay titled, “The Family Physician: Providing Your Medical Home”. The essay should “Describe the impact of a Family Physician in your life or the life of your family and/or the role of the Family Physician in your community.
