3 V 3 Winter Indoor Girl’S Soccer Tournament
Monday, Februaury 15th 2010
Parents, Coaches, & Team Managers –
Although we do allow coaches/team managers to be with their teams on the touchlines during the 3v3 tournament we ask that you allow for players to manage their own games, as much as possible. We see this as a very important part of a young person’s development.
Soccer is truly the player’s game!!!
Rules:
· Fields will be 38 x 26 yds (6 fields)
· Goals will be 3 yds in width
· Players are NOT allowed in the penalty arc (if so, goal kick or corner kick will be awarded)
· No Goalkeepers
· If the Ball lies still in the arc – a goal kick or corner kick will be awarded
· GoalKicks are taken from inside the arc
· Kick-ins (NO throw in’s)
· 12 minute games - running time (3 game guarantee)
· 3 minutes between games – games will start on the whistle
· 5 Bibs will be on each field – leave the bibs after you are done at the field after each game (DO NOT take bibs with you)
· 3 players on the field
· Subs - only when ball goes out of play – both teams may sub
· NO REFEREES – PLAYERS MUST CALL THEIR OWN GAMES. PLEASE ACKNOWLEDGE & SUPPORT THIS DECISION AS IT IS AN IMPORTANT PART OF A YOUNG PLAYERS DEVELOPMENT.
· A Field Manager will be located between fields
Divisional Placement: Iron Lakes reserves the right to place a team up one age group.
Each team must have 1 designated captain who will report the scores after each match to the field manager
3 pts for a win
1 pt for a tie
Tie breakers will be head to head then goal differential
OT in playoffs only
Golden goal – if no score after 2 minutes 1 player must come off

· All Teams Must Report to the Dome 45 minutes Prior to their first match
· 20 minutes before the start of each age groups tournament the tournament director will review rules and expectations. All players must be present. Therefore, the U-9’s will meet with the director at 8:40am.
