Dear Rev. Fr. Adriano BERGOLIN, Rev. Fr. Klement Vaclav, Rev. Fathers Provincials and Rev. Mothers Provincials; Rev. Fr. Stjepan BoLkovac, Rev. Greetings of Peace from Hong Kong!
It is my greatest pleasure to invite everyone of you with the love of the Mamma Margherita to join our 6th Regional Congress being hosted by our China Province from 22nd to 25th May 2008 in Macau, CHINA.
n THEME AND TOPIC
As we had a lot of good discussion in building Autonomy in the last Congress, this time let us focus on “Communion” which can be realized through a more tangible experience — “Family” that we all can share our own experience. In particular, if you have had experience of communion or collaboration in a project amongst the ASC/FMA/SDB, please do send me a written paper at your earliest convenience. In addition, you may also write on your experience of communion from many different aspects of family; for instance,
o lay family of the cooperators,
o extended family of celibacy like FMA/SDB,
o and the Salesian Family
n GENERAL OBJECTIVE
May I borrow the words from the Rector Major’s STRENNA 2008:
Let us prepare for this family gathering with the heart of Don Bosco,
o to share with and to learn from other provinces the real life experience
o to line up and to ensure we are all heading the same direction
o to live out “ad experimentum” our new PAL
o to set the roadmap for the next six years
o to work hard and also to play hard!
n CALL FOR ELECTION NOMINATION
For the election of the next World Councillor, my successor, we had already appointed Fr. Klement Vaclav at the regional leadership meeting last November in la Pisana to chair the Election Panel. Also, as per our new PAL (re: Statutes Art. 40 §1; Regulations Art. 28~29), and our own regional Directory that I proposed and yet we had discussed there, this time we shall elect two more Regional Councillors initially defined as follows:
(1) Formation – to coordinate between the World Council and provincial councils in order to ensure an effective program is laid down for initial formation, on-going formation, formation of the formators, and other needs being identified.
(2) Administration – to promote economic solidarity and properly manage regional fund in order to support regional travels/activities according to a budget approved by the Regional Advisory Council.

n REGISTRATION FEE
For budget purpose, the estimate cost will be US$250 per person including registration, accommodation, meals and local transportation. The exact amount will be advised by China Province later. In case there is any concern about the fee, kindly advise and we will try our best to help.
n PREPARATION WORK
For all cooperators, I encourage you come and join the Congress with your family. I can assure you with good youngster programme. Further information with detailed programme will be sent by the Organising Committee of China Province in the near future. For all Provincial Coordinators, kindly ensure this message can reach all of your members as soon as possible so that everyone can well prepare for it, physically, mentally and spiritually. Thanks to China Province for their great effort to make it successful!
