RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR THIS EVENT
- Indemnity: All competitors must sign an indemnity form.
- All foals must be weaned. No mares will be allowed into the ring.
- All foals must be eligible to be registered with, have registration pending, or beregistered with, the respective Breed/Colour Society in whose classes theyintend to show.
- Young Stock classes are only for horses aged between yearling up to and including three years of age.
- All Young Stock (excluding foals) MUST be currently registered with their respective Breed/Colour Society and owners MUST be current financial members of that Breed/Colour Society where required. Proof of registration and current memberships WILL BE REQUESTED, PLEASE HAVE AVAILABLE.
- Owners/exhibitors entering foals and Young Stock do so entirely at their own riskand it is a condition of entry that no liability of any kind attaches itself to the Griffith Show Societyin any respect whatsoever.
- Exhibits in classes for geldings must have been gelded. Exhibits registered asgeldings are not eligible to compete in colt classes.
- Foals and all Young Stock must beexhibited as per their Breed Society regulations and Standard of Excellencee.g. Welsh Foals which exhibit an obvious body clip will notbe judged. All RPSB entries must be shown plaited.
- No mobile phones to be carried or used in the Rings.
- All Young Stock under saddle must be 3 years of age, and be ridden in a snaffle bit. Classes are for THREE YEAR OLD HORSES ONLY (not three and under).
- All competitors must be suitably attired and all competitors in ridden classes must wear anapproved safety helmet.
- All exhibits must be under control at all times. Colts 2 years of age andover must be bitted. Three year old Colts under saddle must be ridden by anadult 18 years or over.
- Unruly behaviour by any exhibit may be penalised – excessive unruly behaviourmay result in the exhibitor being ask to remove the horse from competition
- A judge may refuse to judge an exhibit that he/she considers to be unsound.
- Any exhibitor whose conduct is considered to be ill mannered,aggressive or unsportsmanlike may be issued with a warning and subsequentlydismissed from the class/disqualified and asked to leave the grounds.
- The judge’s decision is final - no person shall directly approach a judge withregard to a decision. Once a class has been judged, it cannot be re-judged.
- Once a judge has commenced judging a class, no animal may enter the ring or be taken out of the ring without the permission of the judge.
- The Ridden Young Stock classes will take place at the start of the dayand The Foal Show in those rings will not commence until all ridden classesare concluded.
- Lunging is not permitted in or near the marshalling area or vehicles.
- The Led Section of The Young Stock Show will not commence until all Foal Showclasses are completed. It would be appreciated, forsafety purposes, if no marshalling of older Young Stock occurred until all foalshad left the Marshalling Areas at the completion of all Rings in the FoalShow. The will be a short recess in between Foal and Young Stock classes.
- Please marshal in the marshalling area well prior to your class. Classes will becalled but as they are not timed,it is your responsibility to keepan eye on the progress of the rings. Class numbers may not be large and due to the large numbers of classes in the schedule, classes will move along quickly - be ready to enter the ring when your class is called!
- Protests: All protests must be lodged with the committee within 15 minutes of the class and accompanied by $50 that will be refunded if the protest is upheld.
- No refund on tickets will be given.
