Thanksgiving Point’s Annual Tulip Festival Returns for its 13th Year

-The Ashton Gardens host the month-long event-

LEHI, Utah (March 29, 2017)–Thanksgiving Point presents the 13th annual Tulip Festival ( at the Ashton Gardens from April 7-May 6, closed Sundays. More than 280,000 tulips in over a hundred unique varieties are spread across the 55-acre Ashton Gardens for the Tulip Festival. Golf carts,Segways, and wheelchairs are also available to rent, if available.

The Tulip Festival is one of the most popular events in Utah with more than 100,000 guests visiting each year.The tulip display is redesigned with tulips imported directly from Holland to create a new display each festival. At the Tulip Festival’s conclusion the tulip bulbs from the event go on sale for three dollar per dozen to create mini Tulip Festivals in yards all across Utah.

New additions to the Tulip Festival this year include:

  • Tulip “Beats” Throughout the Festival

Seethe “Tulip Riot”, “Tulip Fashion Show”, “Italian Gardens”, “Umbrella Walk”, and the “Secret Garden”, just to name a few of the new “beats” inside the Tulip Festival. A total of 10 “beats” will showcase these magnificent flowers in a variety of ways.

  • Garden Hack-a-Thon.

Gardeners from all walks of life are invited to this event April 14-15. Teams will have a chance to create their own garden design or hack to improve the quality of gardening life. Details at

  • Festival Market in the Waterfall Amphitheater – Fridays & Saturdays, All day

Featuring vendors and food trucks from all over the state.*Only food trucks will be present during the first weekend of the Festival.

  • Children's Activities in the Tulip Tot Playland – Fridays and Saturdays, 10 am - 6 pm; Mondays 4-8pm

Crafts, activities, games, bounce houses and more with the whole family!

  • Half Marathon, 5K and Kids 1-Mile Run – April 29

Guests are invited to lace up their running shoes for a chance to run through the tulips at the annual Tulip Festival Half Marathon. A 5K, and Kids 1-Mile Run are also available, running through Thanksgiving Point property (these do not run through the Ashton Gardens.)

  • Swing Dance – April 28, 6-8 pm

Back by popular demand, the Utah Swing Orchestra returns! Grab your partner and put on your dancing shoes! Enjoy classic swing music while dancing next to the beautiful 65-foot-tall waterfalls illuminated by bistro lighting.

  • American Heritage Lyceum Philharmonic – May 6

The Tulip Festival closes with a fantastic finish with this amazing concert on May 6th. The American Heritage Lyceum Orchestra performs against a gorgeous garden backdrop you won't want to miss.Special Musical Guests, Simply Three,will bring their captivating classical crossovers.Concert is included with admission.

  • Tulip Festival Photo Contest – April 7-May 6

Professional and amateur photographers are invited to submit their favorite shots from the 2017Tulip Festival for a chance to win prizes like a Thanksgiving Point Family membership. Guests need to use the “#tuliparty” hashtag and post to various social media channels to qualify.

The Tulip Festival hours are 9am to 8 pm, Monday-Saturday. Thanksgiving Point members can enjoy an early admission from 8am-9am to walk the Festival prior to opening each day. Admission is $20 for adults, $17 for seniors and children aged 3-12. Military personnel get a 25 percent discount with valid ID as well. Entrance is free to Thanksgiving Point Members and children under 2 years. The Ashton Gardens is located at 3900 N. Garden Dr. in Lehi, Utah.
