Dear Colleagues,

The Gulf Coast Section of AATCC held a seminar on November 19, 2010 at the Southern Regional Research Center in New Orleans and was a success thanks to all of our presenters and volunteers. In an effort to make this section more active and engage new ideas and collaborations, four presentations were given covering a wide range of topics relevant to the world of textiles. The agenda follows. Attendance was excellent, with a group of 38 people consisting of professors, students, and professionals alike. Our half day seminar led to encouraging discussions following the presentations. After a luncheon, attendees were offered a tour of the center including the microscopy lab, the textile mill and its operations and the textile testing labs.

Thank you to all who were involved.

Kind regards,

D.V. Parikh
