Unity
· Spiritual Renewal Week at Unity Christian High School is the week of January 15. Pastor Tim Breen (alumnus of UCHS class of 1998 and pastor of OC 1st Reformed Church). Pastor Tim will be leading Unity staff and students in a week-long journey and emphasis on “What We’re Wired For: Four Considerations about Faith and Technology). One of his text verses will be Colossians 1:17 – “He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.” Guests are always welcome at the chapels at 9:55 on Tuesday-Friday. Please pray for a week of growing in faith.
· Thank you from Unity Christian High School: We have Completed the Vision! In 2013 we opened the doors to the Knight Center and Courtyard. The toal project cost us $5.6 million. Just recently we have reached the point of being debt free! Praise God for all of you. So many people gave, and gave again! Thanks for helping us cross the finish line!
Western
· Volunteers are needed: Recently Western Christian High School acquired the building that housed the bowling alley in Hull. The Board of Directors intent is to eventually open a thrift store in that location. Many Christian schools around the country have made this a successful enterprise that supports the school. To begin the process the pin setting equipment and kitchen equipment must be removed and other demolition activities must be completed. We are asking for volunteers to help us with that process on Thursday-Saturday January 18, 19, and 20 from 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. Volunteers are asked to bring socket sets, circular saws, stepladders, impact tools with sockets and assorted tools needed for demolition. If you can help would you please email or call the school office at 712-439-1013. Even if you can only help for an hour or two we could sure use the help. The coffee pot will be on and lunch will be provided.
