Job Description

JOB TITLE:Hub Worker

SALARY:£16,069 - £17,087 (£19,819 - £21,074 FTE)

RESPONSIBLE TO:Project Manager

HOURS:30

Flexible working patterns will be required to meet the needs of the project and will include evening and weekend work. Staff may be required to work in various locations. Annual leave and time off in lieu to be taken with the prior agreement of your line manager.

OVERALL OBJECTIVES

To work within a skilled team to ensure the smooth running of IDAS referral and assessment hub.

To provide effective administrative assistance to MARAC (Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conferences).

To operate in accordance with best practice and within the policies and procedures of IDAS.

PARTICULAR TASKS OF THE POSTHOLDER

IDAS Referral and Assessment hub

To facilitate the smooth running of IDAS referral and assessment hub.

To deal with telephone enquiries and referrals inputting relevant information onto IDAS case management system.

To make onward referrals where appropriate.

To provide advice, information and assistance to anyone contacting the hub.

MARAC Administration

To facilitate and ensure consistency in referral of cases to MARAC based on the use of a common risk identification tool and referral form for victims.

To prepare and circulate a MARAC list to all relevant attendees via secure means within eight days of the meeting.

To refer MARAC cases ahead of the meeting to the IDVA (Independent Domestic Violence Advisor) service in a timely way.

To prepare the MARAC agenda to ensure that cases are reviewed in the most time effective manner and that any specialist attendees are present.

To prepare accurate action points from the meeting in accordance with agreed procedures.

To maintain a tracking system of MARAC cases in accordance with agreed procedures.

Ensure that the relevant data is collected so that the outputs and outcomes from MARAC can be recorded.

Develop and maintain the necessary documentation to ensure the smooth running of the MARAC, including referral forms, template research forms and minutes.

Internal and External Liaison and communication

To communicate positively with colleagues and promote IDAS values and ethos across the organisation.

To attend and participate positively in relevant meetings, training, supervision and annual appraisals.

To liaise with and train external agencies to increase public awareness of the issues surrounding domestic abuse.

To promote the work of Independent Domestic Abuse Services (IDAS) modelling a high standard of professional behaviours.

To represent IDAS at appropriate meetings and forums.

To develop positive links with voluntary and statutory agencies.

To keep up-to-date with national and local government decisions pertinent to IDAS.

Other

To work on a flexible basis with some unsociable hours to meet the needs of the project.

To participate in fundraising activities.

To provide support and guidance to volunteers.

To undertake all other reasonable tasks requested by the management team.
