Effective September 1, 2006, all charitable sponsorship or grant requests seeking funding from The PGA of America or any of its subsidiary entities will be directed through The PGA Foundation.
The PGA Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization that has been in existence since 1954 providing charitable funding to programs that “Enhance Lives Through Golf”. As such, The PGA Foundation will consider charity sponsorship and grant requests from charities for fundraising events in the following areas that the requesting charity supports:
 Scholarships for higher education leading to a career in the golf industry
 Youth Golf developmental programs
 Physically & Mentally Challenged Programs that have a golf element
 Programs that grow the diversity in the game of golf
In addition, The PGA of America supports the United Way of Palm Beach County, Florida which provides support to a variety of local charities. Charities in the Palm Beach County area are asked to seek funding through the United Way of Palm Beach County. The PGA does reserve the right to make contributions to programs that foster human and community relations.
Requests for grants or sponsorships are due by the first day of each calendar quarter and a decision will be rendered within 30 days based on the submission of the attached sponsorship/grant request form and supporting documentation (fundraising event materials and copy of the charity’s 501(c)(3) letter of determination from the IRS). The PGA Foundation reserves the right to provide funding or to withhold funding in its sole discretion. Funding of approved programs also may be limited or not approved due to budgetary constraints.
