5. Class of Service (COS) Details

Sprint will use IP Precedence bits for classification and prioritization of encrypted (e.g. IPSec) VPN traffic. The customer is responsible for setting the IP Precedence bits appropriately at the customer premise. Please review below Sprint's IP Precedence value queue assignments. For all VPN customers, network control traffic will be sent via the network control queue is reserved for the customer's network control traffic.

Class A (voice or video traffic) / 101 / 5 / Sprint will establish a Strict Priority queue for this queue. All applications with IP Precedence value 5 will be assigned to the Strict Priority queue. Sprint recommends that the customers' assign only Voice and Video traffic to the Priority Queue. If the customer is using both Voice and Video traffic, the customer should assign the Video traffic to the Class B Queue. Please set the IP Precedence bits on your traffic accordingly.
Class B (critical traffic) / 100 / 4 / Sprint will service all traffic with an IP precedence value 4 in the Class B Queue. The customer should assign critical data traffic to the Class B Queue.
Class C (business traffic) / 011 / 3 / Sprint will service all traffic with an IP precedence value 3 in the Class C Queue. The customer should assign business data traffic to the Class C Queue.

Please complete the following steps to process your Change Request:

Step One: Define a Queuing Profile that you plan to change at each site. A single profile may be used at more than one location. Define as many unique profiles as needed. Assign applications, hosts or subnets to a queue. Please specify the TOS value if you plan to use IP precedence. If you plan to use the same profile on all sites, mention ALL in the “Private Line” and “Site Name” columns. Please reference the initial Design Document that was submitted for the existing profiles. Add more profiles if needed.
