Acquired an understanding of how wireless billing applications work within the company and how data is transmitted between vendors. Solaris 7 and NT platforms are used for development, along with Visual Café. (3 months – 2000)

·  Philips Speech Processing – Developed artificial intelligence applications designed to analyze speech patterns for automated inquiry and ordering. Used MS Visual SourceSafe for configuration management, Lotus Notes for email. Interfaced with Oracle 8 (SQL*Plus, PL/SQL) and MS Access for database access, HTML and JavaScript for some internal web site design. (4 months – 1999)

·  Ciba Vision Corporation – Involved in creating production environment hierarchy, methodologies, programs, to migrate mainframe data to an Informix data warehouse. ·  Enterprise Network Applications - Developed telecommunications software in the TCL/TK (Expect) scripting language. Implemented test environment. Developed client end in PowerBuilder 5.0 (PFC), designing with ERwin and S-Designor tools. Wrote standalone applications using Java (JDK 1.1) on an AIX platform. This was a 3,000 line application which imported legacy system data files from the network, massaged the data, and wrote data back out to a Sybase database. Wrote Perl 5.0 scripts for complicated scripting needs. (12 months - 1996 - 1997)

·  Mindis Recycling - Developed SCCS system for industrial company. Created sysadm tools, check lists, routines to help current staff get organized. Customized Informix 4GL programs. (2 months - 1996)

·  Dr. Murphy, DDS - Created a dental patient tracking application for use in monitoring dental patient scheduling. MS Windows, PowerBuilder, and Watcom database. (8 weeks - 1994).

·  Buffington Insurance - Developed a contact management system for salesperson productivity in the insurance business. MS Windows and MS Visual Basic and Access. (6 weeks - 1994)

·  Pac-Tel - Worked for cellular communications company, rewriting Informix SQL customer billing software. (4 weeks - 1993)

·  AT&T - Designed a data collection system using bar code and magnetic strip devices for a payroll attendance application. Mostly a C language assignment, Informix ESQL, Progress database on a NCR UNIX network, several proprietary RS-485 network interfaces to vendor hardware. (15 months - 1992,1993)

·  Champion Transportation Services - Automated air cargo company's daily operations from scratch, including interfacing with their current accounting software. Worked in Informix-4GL, AIX, system administration on IBM RS/6000, SCO UNIX. (7 years, full/part time, 1988 thru 1994)

·  Continental Bank - Managed system support and administration contracts for several small companies on a retainer basis. SCO UNIX, Interactive UNIX, Ingres database. (6 months part time - 1990)

·  Reuters - Designed a user interface systems for executives in a financial news service, involved with project tracking. Worked with C and Postscript programming, Interleaf, on a SUN UNIX network. (6 weeks - 1990).

·  Stein Roe Farnham - Maintained and enhanced a payroll system for a large mutual fund company. Informix-SQL, MS-DOS, Procomm+. (10 weeks - 1990, 1991, 1992)
