1.PREFACE

1.1.This procedure will include instructions to complete an Electrical Checkout (resistance measurements) on the Heaters installed in the LCLSII_1.3GHz_Production Cryomodule. The Cryomodule consists of both Minco type HK5347R46.3L12AU Strip heaters and DaltontypeW4C050 50V, 100Watt Cartridge heaters.

2.MATERIALS REQUIRED TO COMPLETE PROCEDURE

2.1.Breakout Box with 4 pin Male MS Flange Mount connector

2.2.HP3458A or equivalent DMM

2.3.(LCLSII_1.3GHz_Production_CM##_Checkout_Heaters.xlsm) spreadsheet

2.4.The purpose of the spreadsheet is to record 2-wire resistance measurements. Location of Spreadsheet: T&I Website

3.CHECKOUT STEPS

3.1.Connect 4 pin MS connector to designated feed through ondesignated flange #.

3.2.Perform 2-wire resistance measurements using an HP3458A or equivalent DMM.. Connect any one the contacts to one DMM lead and connect the other DMM lead to ground, verify that the sensor is not shorted to ground.

3.3.Check for Shorts between all pins.

3.4.All measurements should be taken either on airside of flange (Sensors connected to vacuum side of flange) or at the exposed 2-wire end of the cable assembly.

3.5.Record measurements in spreadsheet, automate to this document and complete Page 5.

3.6.Short all pins together after measurements are completed to protect sensors
