Wheel Alignment

The Smart –E has been aligned at the factory and should not need to be aligned. Alignment may be needed after a year or two, depending on usage and handling.

If the Smart-E veers to the left, use the Allen key provided to loosen the left bolt or tighten the right bolt. If the Smart-E veers to the right, loosen the right bolt or tighten the left bolt. Repeat until the Smart-E runs straight.

Warranty

The Smart-E has a one-year parts and labor warranty against manufacturing defects. The battery has a 6 months warranty. Please contact your authorized reseller if you need additional information.

SMART-E Motorized Golf Trolley

Instructions Manual

The Smart-E Motorized Golf Trolley is simple to use and maintain. No tool needed for assembly.

Packing List

Drive shaft, main frame with small wheel attached, 2 treaded wheels, SLA battery (12 v, 20 ah), battery charger, tool bag with 2 Allen key, 1 wrench, 1 screw driver, and 2 spare fuses. Charge the battery overnight prior to first use.

  1. Connect the 2 large rear wheels to the drive shaft by pressing on the quick-release button on the wheel axle and sliding the four cogs onto the four holes on the drive shaft. The arrows on the tire tread should point to the front.

Assembling and Using The Smart-E

  1. Connect the drive shaft to the main frame via the 2 “V” notches. The electric motor should always be on the left side, when viewing from the back (single small wheel is the front).
  2. Lift up lower handle and tighten the by turning the knob clockwise.
  3. Lift up upper handle to desired height, and tighten the by turning the knob clockwise.
  4. Lift the fully charged battery by holding the straps of the battery housing, with the 2 red tabs facing the front. Align the 2 notches on the bottom of the battery housing with the twin frame. Press the 2 tabs together and slide the battery all the way back. Release the tabs; the battery is now locked in place.
  5. Connect the battery to the terminal by pressing on the silver tab. The green light will start blinking.
  6. Pressed the left on-off switch once. The green light stay on, indicating the trolley is ready to be used.
  7. Press the left switch again, and the trolley will start moving.
  8. Control the speed of the trolley by turning the speed controller forward to speed up, backward to slow down. Press button B again to stop. When you are satisfied with the speed, press and hold the left switch two seconds to set new speed.
  9. After 15 minutes of inactivity, the unit will power off automatically to conserve battery. Press Button B again to activate the unit.
  10. The right on-off switch is an optional upgrade for DCF – distance control feature – push once for 10 seconds, twice for 20 seconds, up to a maximum of 50 seconds.

Non-motorized operations

The Smart-E can be operated in a non-motorized, manual or free-wheeling mode by disengaging the 2 back wheels from the axle. Press on the quick release button on the axle and slide the axle out approximately ¼ inch, until all 4 cogs are outside the holes. Release the quick release button and the wheel should be able to spin freely.

Disassembling The Smart-E

  1. Detached the battery wire by pressing on the silver tab, and pulling the connector up. The green light will turn off.
  2. Remove the battery from the frame by pressing on the 2 red tabs, pulling the battery forward and up.
  3. Fold the upper handle down, and tighten the knob clockwise.
  4. Fold the lower handle down.
  5. Remove the 2 large wheels by pressing on the quick-release buttons and sliding the wheel out.
  6. Separate the drive shaft from the main frame by pressing the drive shaft down and pulling the main frame up.

Please note that the sealed lead acid battery should be handled with care, the casing may crack if dropped. The battery should always be stored or recharged in a safe, non-hazardous location. The battery is equipped with a 30-amp fuse, located inside the battery housing.
