Terms of Reference for Consultantcy Firm/Consultant for Training of Community Members Agriculture related trainings

Introduction of Taraqee Foundation:

Taraqee Foundation, a national level NGO, registered with Security and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) under the Company’s Ordinance 1984 and engaged since 1994 in different development sectors of Balochistan i.e. Health, Education, Environment & Infrastructure, Livelihood and emergency response.

Background Information and Rationale:

Introduction

Taraqee Foundation is an eminent national level NGO, registered with Security and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) under the Company’s Ordinance 1984 and engaged since 1994 in different development sectors of Balochistan.

Taraqee Foundation is working for poverty alleviation from the last 18 years through its core program i.e. Basic Health Education and services, Environment & Infrastructure, Agriculture, Social Mobilization and Education Program. Taraqee is also an important implementation partner of Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF). Considering PPAF vast networking, Taraqee Foundation has introduced a community institutional organization concept of strengthen grass root level organizations to achieve sustainable development in District Ziarat with a vision of integrated approach of the services provision.

Specific Objectives:

The objective of this consultancy is to prepare training materials related to 3 days Training on any one of the following and one-day training on Kitchen Gardening

  1. Agriculture and formation of Tunnel
  2. Orchard Management

This includes provision and delivery of training materials and supply of audio-visual equipment during the training activity. This course is to provide participants with the knowledge necessary to write proposals. Upon completion of this workshop, the participants will be equipped with the fundamental Knowledge regarding basic Kitchen Gardening.

The training should consist of a balance of lectures, group activities, case-studies, and working sessions to accommodate a variety of learning styles. The training is focused on awareness raising, Knowledge transfer and clearing basic concepts about the subject topics.

Eligibility of a Firm:

  • Must be registered as training firm under company registration or as a training firm.
  • Authorized of awarding certificate on institutional development trainings.
  • Must be associated with institutional development from more than 8 years.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience of conducting Training on institutional development.
  • Must be equipped with required tools and setup required for training.
  • Must have trainers having 5 years of experience in institutional development with excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Must have trainers having 3 years of experience in conducting trainings particularly on institutional development.
  • Excellent report writing skills in English and Urdu and able to conduct and analyze pre and post evaluation.

Eligibility of a Consultant:

  • Must have Master Degree in relevant subject or certified on institutional development.
  • Must have 8 years of experience with institutional development/social mobilization.
  • Must have 3 years of experience in conducting trainings.
  • Must have 4 years of experience in imparting trainings on community institutional development/ social mobilization.
  • Excellent report writing and presentation skills.

Deliverables:

  • Training Manual/Module.
  • Handouts for participants.
  • Day-wise schedule of trainings with contents and methodology.
  • Training report for every separate event.

Contract Duration:

The assignment will be completed within 20 days after signing of agreement including report submission and other related documents. Expected dates of training will be communicated later by TF.

Budget and Payment Schedule:

  • Consultant/Firm will quote the budget in Pak Rupees for his/her services, module/manual and handouts.
  • 100% agreed amount will be paid after submission of report and analysis on pre & post evaluation.

Selection Method for Firm:

Selection of the firm will be finalized after scrutiny on the basis following criteria:

  1. Registration Certificate (10 Marks)
  2. Eligibility of Awarding Certificates (10 Marks)
  3. Firm’s overall experience (20 Marks)
  4. Firm’s relevant experience (20 Marks)
  5. Availability of relevant setup and equipment (20 Marks)
  6. Trainers’ Qualification in relevant subject (10 Marks)
  7. Relevant experience of Trainer (10 Marks)

Selection Method for consultant:

Selection of consultant will be finalized after scrutiny on the basis of following criteria:

  1. Educational Qualification (20 Marks)
  2. Total Working Experience (20 Marks)
  3. Experience in conducting training sessions (20 Marks)
  4. Experience in relevant subject (20 Marks)
  5. Report Writing and Presentation Skills (20 Marks)

Interested individual consultants must send their CVs along with Cover Letter and quotation for the activity; interested firms should send their profile, copy of registration, physical setup detail, and trainers’ profile highlighting the working experience and a proposal highlighting relevant experience with training cost/budget bySeptember20th 2017 before CoB.
