The Auction held in September raised £468 - thanks to everyone who supported it.
The Macmillan Coffee Morning raised £170 - thank you to everyone who came.
Coffee Mornings are held on the last Friday of the month in Stickford Community Centre from 10.30 until 12 noon. These are well attended and are a chance to meet up with friends old and new. We could do with some more help to organise these mornings, such as helping to make the teas and coffees, setting the room up, providing cakes, helping to wash up and clear away. If you can help, please contact Cheryl on 01205480477 or email
St Helen’s Church
Churches Cycle Ride
We would like to thank Ashley Scott and Garry Steele for taking part in the cycle ride in September. Between them they raised almost £190, half of which goes to St Helen’s Church.
HARVEST SUPPER– This was a brilliant evening, with so many people there that we had to put up extra tables. Fortunately we had plenty of food, which was enjoyed by everyone.
Thank you to everyone who came and helped to make it such a lovely, friendly evening. Special thanks to the team of helpers in the kitchen - Lesley Reeson, Jude Scholburgh, Lisa Bradley and Chelsea Hewitt, who worked so hard to get the food on the plates, serve desserts and tea/coffee, as well as wash everything up.
We would also like to thank the young people in the village who served the food at the tables - Ellis, Erin, Ella and Ella’s friend. Finally thanks to Jean James who once again was the auctioneer. The evening raised £390 for church funds.
The Red Lion
There will be a film night at the Red Lion on Thursday 2nd November. The film will be “The Commitments”, during which a supper of Irish Stew will be served. The cost will be £5. Bookings at the Red Lion please - 01205 480395.
See you soon,
