Response: Thank you for your question. You do not have to be a registered company in Democratic Republic of Congo to participate in this open tender for the supply of laptops. However you have to be a genuine vendor duly registered with a physical address in your country of operation and this will be verified and taken into consideration during the selection process. Please refer to our offer evaluation criteria 2:10 on page 7 of 20.

Response: Mercy Corps is exempt from VAT and custom duties in DRC. However, we would like to make it clear that Mercy Corps will not be involved in the custom clearance of the laptops whatsoever. Therefore, your quoted price should be all inclusive for the material delivered up to our offices in Goma/DRC.
