A minimum four full weeks written notice is required if you are moving into care, moving to private accommodation, moving in with family or friends or moving to another council or housing association when not nominated by us. For death of sole tenant see overleaf

You do not need to give four weeks notice but are requested to give as much notice as possible if you are

  • transferring to another Canterbury City Council property; or
  • moving to a housing association property or social housing property in another area when nominated by us.

The termination date in any of these cases will be decided by the date the keys are returned.
