TEMPORARY ASSOCIATE

POLICIES & PROCEDURES

  • Upon accepting a temporary assignment, you have agreed to commit to the assignment until completion.
  • Be sure to wear a suit the first day of your assignment (unless otherwise advised).
  • Be sure to arrive early, 10-15 minutes, on your first day to allow time to navigate the parking garage or building in order to arrive promptly.
  • Please call your recruiter when you arrive on the first day of the job at the office, 713-623-0400.
  • If you are running late to work, please call our office so we can contact our client ASAP at 713-623-0400. If you are not able to reach us, feel free to contact our client directly then follow-up with us by email or phone.
  • If you will not be reporting to work and it’s after hours, please contact the owner of our firm, Jennifer Briscoe, by cell # 713-320-9460 or email so she can contact the client.
  • Also, if ever you feel that your work load during your assignment requires you to work overtime, please contact us before working over your set hours, and we will get approval from the client.
  • In compliance with the worker’s compensation policies, you are not permitted to lift over 20 lbs. or partake in any errands or activities that involve offsite participation, the use of an automobile, or traveling by plane out of town. If a client requests you to do so, please contact your recruiter and we will contact the client directly.
  • If you encounter any problems/issues with your assignment, please call and discuss the grievance with us promptly. We will correct any problems on our client’s behalf. Do not attempt to settle the problem yourself. We are your manager and are here to help!
  • If your assignment ends, please notify us of your completion date.

TFI RESOURCES PAYROLL PROCEDURES

TFI Resources will be your employer of record for your current temporary or contract work assignment.

Before a paycheck can be issued, you will need to complete the new hire paperwork.

The employee onboarding paperwork will be sent to your email by a TFI representative. After receiving the email, you will complete a series of online screens that serve as your new employee paperwork. You will sign forms electronically (W-4, Employment Policies, Application for Direct Deposit, etc.) and submit electronically to TFI.

The only form that needs to be printed is the I-9 because it requires a physical, verification signature. You will be instructed to print the I-9, fill out the top and get Section 2 of the I-9 Form signed by any responsible person (friend, spouse, neighbor, etc.) willing to view the originals of the employment documents and attest that they appear valid. The witness must fill out and sign Section 2 completely. Fill out the I-9 form and copy either your driver’s license & social security card or passport & fax to TFI Resources at 713-783-1566 (1-800-765-0652) or scan/email to . Please lighten the copy of your ID before sending it.

DO NOT HAVE OUR CLIENT COMPANY SIGN THE I-9!

Feel free to use their fax or scanner if needed. Complete the new hire paperwork and submit to TFI Resources no later than your first day of employment!

Timesheets are to be turned in once your supervisor approves it no later than Monday at 5 p.m. for the previous week’s work. Your paycheck will either be mailed out on Tuesday night or direct deposited on Wednesday depending on how soon your bank can set-up the direct deposit.

The employment documents that you will be required to complete are as follows:

  • TFI Application for Employment and Employment Policies
  • Federal Form W-4, Employee’s Withholding Allowance Certificate
  • Federal Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification – please see I-9 instructions regarding acceptable employment authorization documents
  • State Withholding Form(s)
  • Direct Deposit Authorization (Direct deposit is recommended to eliminate the possibility of delayed or lost checks)

Timecards can be obtained by accessing You will receive a notification email with your user name and temporary password to access the system.

REFERRAL BONUS

Hiring Source offers a $100 referral bonus for applicants that are referred to us and are placed either full-time or temporary for a minimum of 1000 hours with any of our client companies. We also offera $100 referral bonus for applicants that refer clients to us with an opening and the position is filled.

DIRECT DEPOSIT

In order for you to receive payment quickly, TFI Resources offers Direct Deposit payment options for your convenience.

PARKING

Hiring Source offers compensation for parking, (if not paid by the client), in the amount of $.50 per hour.

VACATION

Hiring Source offers 40 hours of paid vacation hours. In order to qualify for vacation pay, you must have worked at least 2000 hours.
