2. Is there a national mechanism to coordinate national planning and legislative processes for disaster risk management across various ministries and agencies? If yes, please describe:

  3. are technical agencies such as HydroMet services, Geological services, etc, engaged to support information for this level of decision making. If so in how are these agencies represented in the processes

3. Are there specific activities within and across ministries and agencies in your country in the following areas?

4. Please describe the challenges (political, institutional, technical, financial) to motivate the government in your country for development of disaster risk management and particularly in early warning systems?

5. Please describe how the national HydroMet agency is engaged in your country’s early warning system in support of emergency preparedness and response?

  1. Role and responsibility of HydroMet service
  2. Mechanisms for collaboration and development of information relevant to the emergency preparedness and response activities
  3. Warning dissemination to authorities and public at risk
  4. Participation of assessing risks in anticipation of an event
  5. Liaison meteorologist working with emergency preparedness and response agency (on-going and during an event)
  6. Regular training and educational programmes in risk awareness and warning
  7. Relations with media
  8. Feedback mechanism with emergency agency for system improvement overtime
