Language for
comprehension / Children to make expected or above progress by end of year, meeting age related expectations or better. / Narrow the attainment gap in oral aspect of Communication and Language between children in receipt of EYPP with other children and ensure these children make good progress.
Visits to places of interest in local environment Provide small focused group enhancements outside of nursery for children, increased and extended experiences will act as stimulus to encourage and motivate speech and language skills development. Adults will model language and encourage children to participate, engage and interact with staff and peers.
Daily opportunities to follow own interests accessing continuous provision working with peers and adults. / Children are able to understand language and demonstrate this by responding to Who, What, Where, Why? questions for children eligible for EYPP
Children’s vocabulary will increase and they will be more motivated to share experiences as their confidence increases Children will be able to draw on their experiences and talk more confidently about what they have been doing.
