MATHS TEACHER MPS with outer London allowance
We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified and enthusiastic teacher of Maths to join a successful departmentin terms of attainment and progress. The department was in the top 6% nationally for progress in 2016.All students study GCSE Statistics as well as Maths at Key Stage 4. Maths is also extremely popular in the Sixth Form, where Maths, Further Maths and Core Maths are studied. Maths is taught in sets to from Year 7 to GCSE with some setting at AS level. The department contributes to the outreach work of the Teaching School, supporting and collaborating with other schools notably on primary transition. This work is led by a Maths Specialist Leader in Education.
Lampton School is a mixed, multi-ethnic 11-18 school that converted to Academy status in September 2010. We are a National Teaching School and have IIP Status. Lampton School was judged as "outstanding" in all categories by Ofsted in May 2008 and again in May 2013. It was also featured in the Ofsted report 'Twelve outstanding secondary schools - Excelling against the odds'. The school is a Lead member of Challenge Partnership – a national collaborative network of 240 schools committed to improving the quality of education across our network.
