You will not be able to share VoiceThreads securely or delete old VoiceThreads to make room for new ones with the Free account. You'll need to purchase an upgraded license to use those and other upgraded features. EX: Pictures - record directions, assign icons to students.
  2. Scrible - Lets you highlight and annotate web pages and easily save, share and collaborate on your web research with others. Sign up for free!
  3. Bubbl.us - This tool enables users to create mind mapping and brainstorming diagrams online. To begin, the main topic/concept is entered in to the parent bubble. Then ideas and thoughts are recorded in colorful text bubbles linked to the parent bubble. Users continue to add text bubbles which are color coded according to hierarchy. The site is simple and easy to use - a great addition to your list of teacherresources!The application is Flash-based so the latest Flash viewer needs to be installed.
  4. Blabberize - This is a very easy application that allows you to speak through a picture. Students can manipulate the picture to say what they want it to say. Teachers have used this resource for quick projects such as having students retell a story, book reviews, explain a math or science process, create biographies. The ideas are endless. Notability ($2.99 iPad app) - Notability is so powerful that it will transform how you work: sketch ideas, annotate documents, sign contracts, complete worksheets, keep a journal, jot travel notes, teach a class, make a presentation and much more. With iCloud support, your notes stay up to date on all your devices!
  6. Padlet -(formerly Wallwisher) is a free application to create an online bulletin board that you can use to display information for any topic. Easily create an account and build a new notice-board. You can add images, links, videos, and more. Settings allow you to make your wall completely open for public contributions, completely private, or moderated by you (you approve all contributions before they show).
  7. Toondoo - ToonDoo is fast, easy way to create cartoons. There are a number of functions that allow you to create, personalize, and publish your cartoons.
  8. Tagxedo - turns words -- famous speeches, news articles, slogans and themes, even your love letters -- into a visually stunning word cloud, words individually sized appropriately to highlight the frequencies of occurrence within the body of text.
  9. Kidblog - Designed for K-12 teachers who want to provide each student with an individual blog. Students publish posts and participate in academic discussions within a secure classroom blogging community. Teachers maintain complete control over student blogs and user accounts.

  1. National Library of Virtual Manipulatives (nlvm) - a library of uniquely interactive, web-based virtual manipulatives or concept tutorials, mostly in the form of Java applets, for mathematics instruction (K-12 emphasis).
  2. Math Playground - is an action packed math site featuring math games, math word problems, worksheets, logic puzzles, and videos.
  3. Techsmith - Capture still shots or video of your computer screen, quickly import photos and video from your mobile device.

  5. Thinking Blocks- Learn how to model and solve math word problems. Ideal for students in grades 1 to 6.
