The Director of Agriculture & Food Production, Orissa, Bhubaneswar invites EOI for establishment of a “Gene Bank” on turnkey basis at the State Seed Testing Laboratory, Samantarapur, Bhubaneswar- 751002. Interested Registered Organizations having experience in construction of “Gene Bank” may submit their EOI with supporting documents on or before 30th June 2011.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION FOR SEED STORAGE ROOM.
1.BUILDING
The main room is to be dimension 25* 30*15* (cuft). The auxiliary room is of the dimension 25*10*14*(cuft). The main room will have RCC roof whereas the auxiliary room will have GI sheet on top the main room and auxiliary room will be built the concrete.
Concrete in foundations should not be leaner than 1:4:8 or 1 part cement and 8 parts all-in-aggregate. The footing should be beyond a line (line of load dispersion) drawn at 45 degree from the outer edge of the wall or column. The column footing reinforced concrete footing with two way reinforcing.
The walls for the main room have to 1.5 bricks for the full height above the plinth. The main room wall is to build around the RCC column suitable for the structure. The room lintels to be provided with sun shedding.
The auxiliary room is to surrounded with wire meshing supported the clamps and iron beam.
The main room to be provided with wooden framed glass windows (4*4) sq.ft. in the front side and sides. The room is to be provided with a rolling shutter at the front suitable for the machine.
The room is to be painted with good paint (plaster of Paris inside and weather coat outside) The doors and windows to be painted with waterproof paints.
The water connection is to be provided with the use standard made pipes, valves, taps, elbow, tee etc.
The electrical connections required for the room will have good quality wires (ISI brand), switchgears, switches, light etc.
The vendor has to submit the plan of the room with the technical specifications.
Room Air conditioners should be installed sufficient to cool the room, The room air conditioners to be of split type and energy efficient (4 star rating).
Spares for 5 years Maintenance:
Set of spares should be included in your quote, including Refrigeration system, Electrical , Electronics and Dehumidifiers.
