Technical and Social Weekend
Friday 1st December – Sunday 3rd December 2017
Get in early and book your accommodation for our “Technical & Social Weekend”. We have made preliminary bookings for our weekend in December. Accommodation has been “penciled in” only and we now need to confirm numbers, rooms, etc. Accommodation MUST be booked directby Sept 1st.
Room Types available as follows- Early booking gets a choice
6 of Self-Contained unit (4 person),Full kitchen, Queen and Single Beds $178.50/night
3 of Self Contained unit (2 person Queen Bed) $136/night
Tim Shea basic motel style room Queen 15 of rooms or twin 8 room’s $75.65/night
Pedder Wing- Lake View Motel rooms Queen only 6 of available $126.65/night
Possible to have extra roll away bed in some rooms at $50 extra/night
Caravans- No powered sites available, caravans are allowed to park on site for a fee- Discuss with venue

Pedder Wilderness Lodge is located right in the heart of Tasmania’s Southwest National Park
Venue Facilities The venue has a 30 metre indoor pool, tennis courts,gym, you can hire Kayaks, and or fish from the shores (no license required)

We will lose any rooms on hold if not confirmed by Sept 1st – from then on no rooms will be held – any late bookings will be pure chance if rooms still available, and the rate below may not be available.
Getting there- From interstate fly into Hobart(closest airport)-Then its 2hrs 18 mins via B61 highway 156km- See map below–Last town on the way is Maydena
Lake Pedder will have no Mobile phone reception
Last Mobile reception is just past Maydena.The venue does have Wi Fi- Packages available on line to sign up. There is a pay phone at the venue also.

Friday night:
Own careBook inat the Lodge- Twelvetrees Restaurant @6pm-8.30pmYou must book for dinner. For those who have booked self-contained you can also self-cater.
Saturday
Breakfast-Self-cater in your room/unit or Continental in the restaurant 7am-10am at $10/head self-serve or $ $18 for Cooked Breakfast avail- ( cooked to be pre ordered- night before).

Ron Bugg’s Tours
Ron Bugg talks Rocks and we hope to find some good stuff. More details on the program will be sent closer to the day
We are trying to get an Underground visit to the Powerstation- Still gaining approvals and acceptance we can do this- no promises!
Lunch-We will have lunch at the Venue-Cost /head$18 Please advise any dietary requirements
Saturday night:
7:00pm Group dinner @Twelevetrees Restaurant- 2 coursesat own cost $35/head Plus drinks. Please advise any dietary requirements, We hope to have a guest speaker to present to us on History of the Hyrdro South West.
Sunday
AM- More exploring of the area- We recommend the detour into Scotts Peak Dam and especially Red Knob lookout- Then on the road back to Hobart – Mt Field National park and the Salmon Ponds.

Sturdy footwear
Jacket, warm weather clothing etc. + sun protection for either weather- We are in the South West Wilderness so we could get variable weather
